There are three ceramic bears that look nearly exactly alike. Hereby I question the status of authenticity by the practice of handmade reproduction. The handcrafted (false) seam on the sides suggests the industrial fabrication of two joint parts. Hereby the fake/real and copy/authentic collapse.

2026 · Glass panel on wood

Blue glass (roof) panels installed on wooden construction. As part of the Between the Dirt and Clouds installation. Rooftiles traditionally form a distinctive and protective skin separating the private from the outer realm. In this work I re-think rooftiles as a desire for connection. To feel safe in relation to the world in- and outside. To have a space to look up where dreams exist. Not as escape, but charged with a sense of belonging. The blue wave-like panels move between the inner and outer realm, the elemental and the dreamlike. Forming a fragile and flowing connection between the Dirt and the Clouds.

2026 · Ceramic, magnet on nail

Two seven point stars made from ceramics installed with a magnetic pin on the wall on which it reflects an orange glow. Traditionally the 7 point star is a highly charched symbol connecting the spiritual and the earth. While an actual star does not have corners or sides, I find it interesting how we think of diffracted light as an object having a shape with an outline. There is a cognitive abstraction at play in the formation of these concepts that in turn influences pereception. In this work the orange glow is questioning with a sense of playfulness where the boundaries of an object begins and ends.

The photo is a documentation of a relational embodiment practice of time and movement. Hereby I layed horizontally - face down - in the field and spiraled clockwords in a circle with my belly button forming the central axis. The practice lasted untill the burning grass and exaustion took over (18 minutes).
